  1. Love the plugin. I’d gladly buy you a beer for your hard work.

  2. (not that it matters but I entered https for my web site instead of http in my previous comment so the link doesn’t work)

I have a question about the donations,it seems all the English plugins author need donations. Why?

    • Onedou

What would you ask for if you invested 1000′s of hours in making everyone else’s life easier? A donation? a Payment? a weblink? what would be your payment? And what about answering questions just like this one… how much does that cost in time/effort?

You seem to have a support expectation but no expectation to support the plugin maker.

the donations structure is part of creating a plugin for wordpress and not “exclusive” to english plugins. I’m not sat in england speaking english, I am sat in Holland when the national language is Dutch. And if you read it it says…. “if you want to” there is no imperative *need* to.

Also you will notice that if you use my plugin it is not made in england but uses english as it’s primary language (as should all plugins) and there after it should be localized. As English is not your first language maybe you would like to invest some time in creating a localized language version for yourself and giving it to me as a donation of your time in response to mine being given?

I’ve still got to do the Dutch version yet.

Lastly, you will also notice that (if you are lucky enough to be able to run) version 1.18.4 that you can completely change all of the text to be in your own language….. So it’s not like I am making this english-centric.

regards and looking forward to your donation
      Andy

      kind regards
      andy

    • Hey Christa,

Can I recommend that you do the following for your site…

      - setup permalinks so you get better URLs for search engines (admin page, Settings–>Permalinks), year-month-day-name is popular
      - install wp-pagenavi plugin to get nicer paging
      - install a SEO plugin of your choice to help with descriptions

you will feel a benefit overnight and none of your existing pages/urls will be lost
      regards
      Andy

    • Hey Crista,

Just to let you know that we have added Xing sharing to the pluing. Xing made it available about a month ago, we added it about 2 weeks ago. Should help your german consumers to get sharing on the right forum :)

      regards

  9. Good work people, thanks a lot for a great plug in

  10. Like to be able to create a Follow Me link to SlideShare.net

    http://www.slideshare.net/gunnargestsson

  11. Just got the new version and it supports slideshare.
As you can on my website there is no icon for slideshare and the test “follow” should be from the top down as it was in erlier version.

    Thank for your effort.

    • Gunnar,

can you try to re-save your Share and Follow admin settings (any update button will do) as it does not appear to have updated the CSS with the slideshare items. should sort you out quickly

      regards
      Andy
